2014 Camp Resilience Sessions

The PRLI ran its second pilot session from Monday, Oct 21st through Thursday, Oct 23rd. 12 veterans from MA, NH and VT participated in the session, along with two counselors from the White River Junction VA Medical Center. The planned sports activities included the Aerial Treetops Adventure course at the Gunstock Mountain Resort, hiking in the Belknap mountain range and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. However, due to heavy rains, the hike was cancelled and the vets went bowling at Funspot instead. The life skills program included financial management and “Wellness Through Lifestyle Changes” with a focus on sleep issues, diet and exercise. See pictures from this session below.

On May 28-30, 2014, the PRLI ran Camp Resilience’s first pilot session for 17 wounded warriors from the Boston VA. Activities included Segway tours and the Aerial Treetop Adventures at Gunstock Mountain Resort; boating/fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee and classes on resumes and job searching. See pictures below.

The PRLI assisted the Lakes Region Disabled Sports at Gunstock run an adaptive skiing program for 7 wounded warriors from the Boston VA Medical Center on Feb 24-25, 2014. See pictures below.
